Low country fixin's at Mert's YUM!

We seriously had the best time in downtown Charlotte

last Friday night. What could be better, family,

fireworks and good food.

Before the fireworks we went to Mert's.

Good ole southern food,

Mert's is a local favorite.

Now it is a favorite of ours!

and collard greens.

The rest of the family had shrimp and grits,

catfish, bbq ribs,

po' boy, red beans and rice,

and okra to name a few.
We all loved the cornbread

with honey butter!

the men's bathroom.
He came out to get the

camera so I could post it!

The girls found this in our bathroom.

They thought it was funny

and creepy at the same time.

Thought it looked a little like MJ,

they had to strike a pose with him.

Here we all are after we rolled out of Mert's.
