Back to school with my Cos girls....

I would like you to meet some of the girls
I spend my days with at school.
First of all I would like you to meet Miss Mani Kin...
She's the one everyone wants to hang with...
you know, nice personality, cute,
great skin, perfect hair and make up.
She could pull her hair in a pony and look great.
Here are bunch of the new girls, I
haven't got all their names down yet.
Sometimes they can all seem to look alike.
Except for the 5th girl down,
she told me she loves to have 80's bangs!
I told her it was a good attempt
but they needed to be higher
and way more hairspray!
These 3 are always together
they all want to be like
Miss Mani Kin,
so they are copying her style.
Look they just spotted Miss Manikin!
They want to be just like her.
The one on the right keeps staring,
The one in the middle says
"don't stare at Mani, you'll
look soooo obvious!"
The one on the end is thinking~
Is my face shiny???
I forgot to put on
pressed powder. I
can't let Miss Mani see me like this!

Anyway,
I'll be posting randomly about
these beautiful girls as the year progresses!
Come on back to see what
happens as they make thier
way through Cosmetology school!
Blessings~

Old Summer homes in Harbor Springs....

We love to drive along the harbor
in the tiny town of Harbor Springs, Michigan.
There are many beautiful summer homes
with wonderful porches and landscaping.
Sit back and enjoy the tour.

the celebrating continues...

4 of our kids were born in the summer.
Their birthdays fall within 3 weeks of each other.
We have either been gone on their
birthdays or they have been,
so we have strecthed the
celebrating out even farther.
We have one more to go next
weekend when Seth is home for
a few days.

This is Bret and he is 22, hard to believe!
This is his girlfriend Brooke,
who is just as sweet as she is cute.
Her little dog is named Duece.
He was he christmas gift last year from Bret.

Bret loving his chest set of the revolutionary war.
He is a history buff and he loves chess.

Duece wants in on the chess action!

make a wish!

On to Miss Emma's birthday....

The actual day of her birthday was spent at
her older sister's college orientation.

We planned an
overnite birthday with her friends
for when she was back home.

Miss Emma turned 11.
She chose a tropical pool party theme!
Even Sarge had fun!
Lots of fun in the pool!

Ready for cake and icecream!

Swimming made them hungry!

After more swimming, it was on to presents.

They had a great time!

Craft time! This week is our county fair. Tonight we are going to the
Mudhens Baseball game in Toledo, with 3 of the kids!
Wed night Emma will be riding fair rides.
Thursday night is the Demolition Derby!
Busy week before we all
head back to school!

All work and no play!

Because this.....looks like this in the winter.....
my hubby and girls did a lot of this.....

to get wood chopped, hauled and
stacked to keep my parents
warm this winter.

Tom fell 3 trees, chopped and chopped.
The girls loaded and unloaded and
stacked and stacked.
(I did help one trip :} )
It's just one way we can thank them
for the generosity of providing us
with awesome vacations year after year.
Even though it was hard work
the girls and Tom did
so with Happy hearts.

If you are wondering why
there are no pics of
Grandma and Grandpa
this year with us....
we swapped houses for the week.
My mom had cataract surgery
while they were in Ohio.
Thankfully, everything went well
and she now has 20/20 vision
in that eye. My aunts came and
stayed with my parents 2 nights
while the were here.
They also spent time
with my brothers, sister,
grand kids and great grand kids.
Thanks again, Mom and Dad
for a great
week up north.
We had a great vacation!
We love you!
Blessings~
