Downtown Good Hart....
This is the Good Hart General Store....
My parents good friends, Jim and Carolyn
own the store.
We have many found memories
of the store, we love the
yummy snacks and baked goods.
It is also the post office
and a real estate office.
It has beautiful timber furniture and
upscale northern decor.
In the back is a tea house.
Love the porch swing!
Some of CiCi's teapots.
The tea room. :)
A side porch for sipping tea.
while the girls are shopping in the next store.
called "A Studio"
I love it!
actually from close to my home.
She found this lovely
covered wicker lounger
alongside the road on garbage
pick up day in Toledo!
Why doesn't that ever happen to me?!
Unfortunately, it's not for sale.
I ask every summer! LOL!
oilcloth pillows?!
Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed,
the tour of downtown Good Hart.
It's a special place that
makes my heart feel good!

My parents home in northern Michigan.....
Our vacation home. I love the peace and
quiet of this place.I love falling asleep with
the window open and hearing the waves
wash upon the shores of Lake Michigan.
I love to be here with my husband and
children and spend our days however we wish.
Today it started with church at the
Good Hart Bible church, awesome message.
We just finished lunch and are headed to the beach!

My parents built a vacation home in northern
Michigan in 1987. When they told us kids
that they were building a home 6 hrs
away from us we weren't too thrilled.
Then we all went to visit.
Needless to say we all fell in love with
the area right away.
My parents loved it so much
that after retirement they moved
there permanantly. I do miss having them
so close but we all love it so much our families
make the trek as often as possible.
Fall is breathtaking.
My Brothers love the winter for snowmobiling.
All the Grandkids love to go snow skiing.
My husband loves to go in the spring
to go mushroom hunting.
My favorite time of the year is summer.
We have always made it a point to
go the last week of July and
Bret and Bekah have celebrated
most of their
birthdays there!
The area is just gorgeous!
The area is just gorgeous!
We are leaving today
so I'll be posting
(when I'm not at the beach)
from there. I am taking my camera
so I can share the beauty of
Lake Michigan with you all.

PS~ Sorry about the small pics,
can't figure out what I did wrong!

Indy trip...
We spent the past weekend in Indianapolis
with our second oldest, Bret.
It was great to have time alone with him!
He is an awesome young man and we love
him so much!
He enjoys it and is meeting some awesome people!
Went antiquing, such fun!

Noblesville, Indiana.

This is on the canal walk in Indy.
The duck and I enjoyed the view.

~USS Indianapolis War Memorial~
Robert K. Good served on this ship
during WW II.
After dropping off the Atomic bomb
on a secret mission
the ship was torpedo
by the Japanese.
My Grandfather and
hundreds of others
lost their lives.
This was my first visit.

Grandpa's name....:(
Mixed emotions.....We celebrated Bret's
22nd Birthday at
Fogo De Chao's.
The Gaucho's (Brazilian cowboy's)
served meat from long skewer's of
meat that has been grilled
over an open wood fire.
It was fun and so delicious.
building in Indy.
We both love history!
We love you Bret.
Thanks for an awesome weekend!
