No Tears Past The Gate...

Thirteen years ago today our son
Jess Alexander Babcock
went home to be with our
Heavenly Father.

A good Friend sang these
songs at his funeral
I hope the words bless you
as they continue to do so for me.

Home Free
By
Wayne Watson

I'm trying hard not to think you unkind
But Heavenly Father If you know my heart
Surely you can read my mind
Good people underneath the sea of grief
Some get up and walk away
Some will find ultimate relief
Home Free, eventually
At the ultimate healing we will be
Home Free
Home Free, oh I've got a feeling
At the ultimate healing
We will be Home Free

Out in the corridors we pray for life
A mother for her baby,
A husband for his wife
Sometimes the good die young
It's sad but true
And while we pray for one more heartbeat
The real comfort is with you

Home Free, eventually
At the ultimate healing we will be
Home Free
Home Free, oh I've got a feeling
At the ultimate healing
We will be Home Free
You know pain has little mercy
And suffering's no respecter of age,
of race or position
I know every prayer gets answered
But the hardest one to pray is slow to come
Oh Lord, not mine, but Your will be done
Home Free, eventually

At the ultimate healing we will be
Home Free
Home Free, oh I've got a feeling
At the ultimate healing
We will be Home Free

In my Brokenness
By
David Meece

In my brokenness
In my hour of darkness
I will lift my hands
And worship You
In my brokenness
In my time of sadness
I will lift my voice
And praise to You

Time stands still
As I kneel down before You
Life draws near
Like waves upon the shore
You touch me
In my brokenness

In these whispering shadows
I will lift the pieces
Of my heart to You
Time stands still
As I kneel down before You
Life is here
Your waves of power
And glory touch me
In my brokenness
In my hour of darkness
I will lift my hands
And worship You
I will lift my hands
And worship You

Deck the Halls...

I finally have
the tree trimmed and
I've decked the halls too.
I'll be posting snippets
of my Christmas decor
throughout the month.
Another beautiful tree
grown right here at home.
I had to purchase some red and
green ornaments this year.
All of my kids have
an ornament collection
that their Great Aunt Sandy
has given them every year
since they were born.
Well, last year both of
the boys moved out, so
I gave them their ornaments.
That was 36 ornaments total.
I'll have to say I miss all their
Santa's and Snowmen,
but I do like the way the tree turned out.
The girls have collections too.
So I still have little angels throughout the tree.
Tomorrow I'll be entered in
a "Decorate your Door" contest
hosted by LeAnn
At My Vintage Modern Farmhouse
She needs 10 people to
sign up, so If you would like to join
you only have a few hours left.
She is giving a $25 gift card
to Homegoods! How awesome is that!
Anyway here is a sneak peek of a little
portion of my door decor.

Our Christmas tree from the back 40...

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
We have so much to be thankful for.
We did some shopping on Friday
and then Saturday we
headed out to find our tree.
Tom's Grandparents had a Christmas
tree farm for over 40 years.
After they both passed away
and the farm was sold, we made sure
to plant trees on family property.
We all love a real tree and Tom
loves to get the tallest one we can.
This one is about 11-12 feet.
It is a Black Hill spruce.
Bekah was Tom's helper to
get it in the stand. :)

Tom strings all the lights also. :)

It's my job to decorate it. :)

Bekah was especially happy
with the choice this year.
Check back soon to see all
the trimmings!
Blessings~
