All of these photo's were taken within 3
miles of our home, along the river.
Fall is so beautiful in the country.
I drive 40 miles into the city to teach
and my students think I'm crazy
for the long commute. I think I'd be crazy not to!!!
river about 500 ft from my house.

This was taken from the river bridge
I cross to take in to town.
Love the reflction of the trees!

Looking to the west from the same bridge.
made it look that way.

again....

A field almost ready to harvest, and a new
neighbor's home back along the woods.
This farm belongs to a family who has been friend's

This farm belongs to a family who has been friend's
of Hubby's family for years. When I cross the
bridge and look to my right, this is what I see.
This is the homestead and both
of the parents are both gone now.
Three of the 5 children built their
homes right next door. :)
This is their corner and when you
turn left just a mile down
is our corner where 4 of our
family members, including
us have homes. :)

that goes down to the river.
I love the bean and corn fields in the fall!

Now we are headed east back
towards my house!
This barn belongs to my niece,
even though she is from my side
of the family, we were thrilled
when she was able to
buy a home on our corner.
are raising the 3 little ones under 3.
It's so great to grow up in the country!
and his wife.
He didn't move far at all when he got married.
Then we are just around the corner.

his Mom and Dad's home.

But I'm gonna keep on driving east
to show you some of my
favorite spots along the river,
just past my road.
actually the house is nestled back in the trees.
This is a small roadside park right across the road.
Alot of people come here to fish.
A little farther down the road....
You come to 2 of my favorite homes.

Lots of windmills along here too.
So, any one want to be my neighbor?
I love their little Gazebo.
Well, I was starting to lose my daylight,

Lots of windmills along here too.
I only got a shot of the barn because
they were out mowing and I didn't
want to look like a stalker! ;)
father's country home.
The father was a Doctor
in the big city!
And out here it's a trend to be
neighbor's with most of your family.
Even though no one I know,
know's Levi King,
I assume he built this home
and barn long ago.
The man who lived here used to
be one of my clients in the shop.
He passed away almost 3 years ago
and his wife is now selling .

This is the small country road that runs
parallel to the river road along their farm.

so I drove back to the bridge to get
a sleepy shot of the river.
This is a reluctant neighbor
who has yet to store the boat for cooler weather.
